I just love when I read people's blogs and they share items they love. (Yes, I wait eagerly for that time of year when Oprah does her "favorite things" episode.) So, I have decided to do the same (I recently shared my mixing bowls and bathroom trash can as favorites so see recent blogs if you care to know about those because I still haven't figured out how to link you back to them within my post.)
Anyway, what I am blogging about today is the fabulous measuring cups pictured above. Yes, they are made by OXO like my mixing bowls. I just love their products! They are also plastic and dishwasher safe, which I love, and they have the rubber handle, which is great! My mother has the stainless steel ones, which I admit would match our kitchen better but I prefer the plastic ones because I have the option to use the side view if I should want. The thing that makes these so fabulous are the easy to read angled measuring lines INSIDE the cups. In other words, as you are looking into the measuring cups and pouring you just watch the liquid reach the line you desire inside the cup and that gives you an accurate measurement. No more scooching (is this even really a word?) down so the cup is level for reading and no more "eyeing" the measurement as you hopefully hold it level in the air so you can read it. Just pour until you hit the measurement you want and you are done and you know your measurement is accurate! They are amazing! They also come in four different sizes! I have all but the largest one. The neat thing about the smallest one, which is not in the picture by the way, is that it measures tablespoons! Thanks to Tony's Aunt, Cathy, for this bridal shower gift!
